Welcome to Burnley House – Guest House on the North York Moors
Welcome to our house, situated to the North of York on the North York Moors were we serve award winning breakfasts that will sustain you for your visits to market towns like Pickering, Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside, the city of York, the coast, and of course, the moors. All our rooms have wifi and in two of them (Ryedale and Newtondale) we allow pets.
As from Monday 6th October 2014 we will also be serving evening meals when our local pub shuts on Mondays and Tuesdays each week during the winter.
We also have an alcohol licence so we will be able to offer our guests the full benefits of bed, breakfast and evening meal with the addition of a glass or two on those two nights each week. Please telephone 01751 417548 or e-mail email@example.com to reserve your table and book your evening meal. In order to save undue expense on wasted food, only pre booked meals will be served
After the grind of doing a weeks work, Burnley House is the ideal place to unwind and relax. As soon as you arrive you are made welcome with a refreshing cup of tea or coffee and a little something to nibble on. In this 7 bedroomed guest house we are small enough to be able to make every guest welcome and yet give you the service you’d expect of somewhere much more expensive. Once you are shown to your room and told about the extra touches we have put in there for you, you are left to freshen up. Why not have a wander around the village and look at the stream and the sheep that roam freely, enjoying the lush grass on the village greens.
While you are here why not take in a visit to our local 6 acre museum or visit Whitby
(home town of the 18th century explorer, Captain Cook) or take a trip to Castle Howard where the famous film “Brideshead Revisited” was shot
