North Yorkshire is diverse. From the bustle of shopping in York and seaside towns like Scarborough and Whitby to the quiet of the North York Moors. From the flat lands of the Vales of Pickering and York to hills and steep sided valleys. Stunning views and beautiful villages like Hutton le Hole (arguably, Yorkshires most beautiful village). Coastal exploring (a mecca for fossil hunters) and moorland walking, the list goes on.
In Hutton itself there are local workshops where you can buy unique mementoes of your stay. Wood crafted by one of Britain’s highest qualified woodworking experts, handmade glass ornaments and jewellery, fresh shiny handmade chocolate made by our own village chocolatiers, etc, etc.
Not only sheep can be seen wandering freely around the village and drinking from the stream but often deer can be seen crossing the road nearby or Pheasants and other country birds flying past. We have Nightjars and Merlin also Green, Greater and Lesser spotted woodpeckers. Songbirds galore.
What is it you want out of a holiday? You’ll get it here, even sunshine sometimes. Stately homes abound and their gardens. Why not see them from a glider?
At Burnley House we only use locally sourced produce in our cooked breakfasts, so you get the best of freshness and flavour. Our meet is grown less than 10 miles away, our eggs from only 3 miles and the bread about 15 miles.
